2025-2026 Voluntary Prekindergarten (VPK) Program Enrollment Information
- Children must live in Florida and be 4 years old on or before September 1, 2025.
- If your child turns 4 between February 2 and September 1, you may choose to enroll them the following year when they are 5 years old.
- The VPK lottery will take place online through the Parent Portal.
- Application dates: January 21, 2025 – March 7, 2025.
- Proof of age and address must be submitted to your child’s school to participate in the lottery.
- A Certificate of Eligibility (COE) is not required for the lottery but will be needed to finalize registration. You can obtain the COE at http://www.vpkhelp.org.
- Families living within the school’s attendance boundary will receive priority.
- Out-of-boundary families can apply and will be considered if seats remain available.
- The Fee-Supported Afternoon VPK Program costs $15 per day ($12 for families qualifying for reduced fees based on income).
- Children with IEPs/special needs can participate in the VPK lottery. Schools will assess whether the VPK program is the best fit for your child’s needs.
- Application Window: January 21 – March 7, 2025
- COE Submission: Required for finalizing registration (contact the Early Learning Coalition at 305-646-7220 if assistance is needed).
